Eric Gang
One of the nation’s top litigators on behalf of veterans, Eric Gang is the founding partner of Gang & Associates and author of Betrayal Of Valor: An Exposé Of A Horribly Flawed Veterans Administration (Sutton Hart Press).
In his over 20 years of experience as an attorney, Gang has represented hundreds of veterans fighting for proper care and benefits related to PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and other psychiatric illnesses. He has litigated more than 1,000 appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and has won some of the largest claims against the Veterans Administration in U.S. history.
Gang’s success in battling bureaucracy for his clients has earned him prestigious recognitions from The National Law Journal, Avvo, and others. His firm received a Trailblazer Award in 2021 and an Elite Boutique Trailblazer Award in 2022 from The National Law Journal.
The litigator attributes his tenacious advocacy to his upbringing in a large, competitive family and the values he adopted from an early age about diligence, dedication, compassion, and respect. Having accumulated a wealth of understanding about veterans’ issues and their unique physical and psychological struggles, he has been able to win cases other lawyers deemed impossible.
In his book, Betrayal Of Valor, Gang draws upon his experience to reveal the ways a chronically mismanaged government institution has systematically failed to provide promised benefits to servicemen and servicewomen who made sacrifices to protect our freedom.
In his private life, Gang is an avid athlete and explorer who enjoys mountaineering and high-endurance sports, and coaches other professionals who are interested in taking up those hobbies. He also serves as executive director of the Disabled Veterans Resource Center Inc., a nonprofit veterans’ advocacy group.
